Brooklyn Heights Promenade, BrooklynAlso called Esplanade, offers breath taking views of Manhattan skyline on East Side, Statue of Liberty, East River, New York Harbor and Brooklyn Bridge. You can easily spend a few hours exploring the brownstone mansions and town homes surrounding the promenade. A evening walk during the sunset with your loved one is a must do and the promenade has benches if you would like to sit and unwind. No entry fee to enter the promenade and the park is open till 1:00 AM.
15 minutes walk from here is Washington Street, Dumbo where you can get to see and take the below iconic picture of Manhattan bridge. If all conditions are fine, you would be able to snap picture of Empire State building between the columns of the bridge.
Pier A & Pier C Park, Hoboken
With ample amount of street parking available on Sinatra Drive, Pier A and Pier C parks give you a glimpse of the west side of New York's Skyline and Hudson river. Both the parks have no entry fee and you can bring your own blanket to sun bathe or take a stroll on the grass. If lucky you might see a cruise ship passing by too. Day or night, the views are spectacular in their own way.
Statue of Liberty Island Ferry
If you are visiting the Statue of Liberty Island by taking the ferry from the Battery Park, you will get to see the skyline with One World Trade currently the tallest building in New York towering among rest of the other buildings. There is a entry fee, a very long line and airport level security check before you are allowed to enter the ferry, so the visit to Liberty island should be planned properly as it might take up half of your day. But once on the ferry, nothings beats the views that you get to witness and there are no words to describe and it will be one of the best moments of your whole vacation.
